چکیده

Purpose: To investigate the anticancer effect of glutinol on OVACAR3 human ovarian cancer cells, and to elucidate underlying molecular mechanisms.
Methods: Cell viability was determined using 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay. cycle distribution, reactive oxygen species (ROS) mitochondrial membrane potential were measured via flow cytometry, while protein expression levels with western blotting assay.
Results: Glutinol exerted significant growth-inhibitory effects but interestingly, it exhibited comparatively lower cytotoxic against normal SV40 cells. The IC50 cells 6 ?M, 60 ?M. Flow cytometric analysis showed an increase in population G2/M phase from 4.02 % control 29.05 treatment 12 ?M glutinol, suggestive arrest. arrest also accompanied by suppression cyclin B1. It found that increases ROS decreases MMP activities contributed glutinol-induced antiproliferative Moreover, deactivated PI3K/AKT signaling pathway OVACAR-3 cells.
Conclusion: potent cancer. Thus, might be benefit cancer.

Emodin inhibits the proliferation of PC3 prostate cancer cells in vitro via the Notch signaling pathway.

The aim of the present study was to examine the anticarcinogenic effects of emodin on the Notch signaling pathway and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in the PC3 androgen-independent prostate cancer cell line in vitro. The cell viability was assessed using an 3‑(4,5)‑dimethylthiahiazo(‑z‑y1)‑3,5‑di‑phenytetrazolium bromide assay. Cell apoptosis and cell cycle were detected using flow c...

SSRP1 silencing inhibits the proliferation and malignancy of human glioma cells via the MAPK signaling pathway

Structure-specific recognition protein 1 (SSRP1) has been considered as a potential biomarker, since aberrant high expression of SSRP1 has been detected in numerous malignant tumors. However, the correlation between the expression level of SSRP1 and glioma remains unclear. The present study attempted to investigate the role of SSRP1 in the pathogenesis of glioma. In the present study, our data ...

CCAT-1 promotes proliferation and inhibits apoptosis of cervical cancer cells via the Wnt signaling pathway

Though the long noncoding RNA colon cancer associated transcript-1 (CCAT-1) has been shown to be involved in tumors of other tissues, its involvement in cervical cancer is still unknown. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the molecular mechanism of CCAT-1 in cervical cancer. We quantified the expression of CCAT-1 long noncoding RNA in samples of cervical cancer tissue by real-t...

Combination of metformin and phenformin synergistically inhibits proliferation and hTERT expression in human breast cancer cells

Objective(s): Breast cancer remains a global challenge, and further chemopreventive therapies are still immediately required. Emerging evidence has revealed the potent anti-cancer effects of biguanides, Metformin (MET) and phenformin (PHE). Thus, to explore an efficient chemopreventive strategy for breast cancer, the antiproliferative effects of the combination of MET and PHE against breast can...

The Hippo Signaling Pathway Regulates Ovarian Function via the Proliferation of Ovarian Germline Stem Cells.

OBJECTIVE To improve the separation, identification and cultivation of ovarian germline stem cells (OGSCs), to clarify the relationship between the Hippo signaling pathway effector YAP1 and the proliferation and differentiation of OGSCs in vitro and to identify the major contribution of Hippo signaling to ovarian function. METHODS Two-step enzymatic separation processes and magnetic separatio...
